of course not, no official messenger such as Yahoo, Windows Live Messneger, AIM or any of the other major messengers would ever put a virus in there messenger. reason being if anyone found out theyd be sued and get chucked out of buisness so you dont have to worry. just make sure you download it from the messenger portion of www.yahoo.com

As long as you have an anti-virus program installed on your computer, you do not have to worry about viruses. Otherwise, downloading any program 'may' result in a virus.

nope, it's safe. but you do need not only a good virus program such as norton, but also a good spyware p-gram like adaware.
