Not in my experience, but there are some that require the stabilizer bar links to be removed.

I'd replace the struts only if they were so bad that it's a safety issue. If instead the car doesn't bounce too abnormally going over a fast roller coaster type of (hilly) highway or bounce excessively when coming to an emergency stop from a high speed, then just keep driving. However the strut's upper bearing mount can develop excessive play which creates a "clunk" sound when going over sharp bumps like a speed control strip. If that's not too annoying, again just keep driving. But remember, your car can't maneuver like a new car would in an emergency steering situation. Keep your speed down and drive conservatively.

No, it's not. Scribe the steering knuckles, take out the two bolts, take out the three bolts on top, take out the bolt holding the brake line, and remove the strut assembly. It may have a stabilizer link on the side of the strut that has to be removed from the strut, but not removed from the car.

I have worked on many cars and i have never needed to remove the bar sometimes you have to remove the stabilizer links. I havent worked on every car out there so there might be some where you would have to remove but to my knowledge no u do not.
