I have a 1998 ford ranger 3,0 and i was was wondering what is the part that the temperature sensor unit hooks to i have it removed and it has a leak but i do not know what it is called if anyone one can help thanks in advance

1st off, without proper diagnostics you cannot get a proper repair, with that being said,

2nd, the coolant temperature sending unit is normally screwed into the thermostat housing. If it is leaking then you have one of two problems; either a bad gasket or a cracked housing.

3rd, your best bet and my advise to you would be to take your vehicle to a trusted and certified technician and have him do proper diagnostics and a proper repair.

intake manifold..........if it's the temperature sender then it's connected to the block.
