Many upper class people have been convicted of major crimes and many of them get a pardon or end up in a prison of their choice where they can get away with many things, others don't even serve time and the middle class people and the poor do little things and get long prison terms. Worst that all, nobody does nothing about it !!! Don't even think about it until it hits home. Is this equal rights?

No I think the way the system and our laws were made were for the purpose of making everyone feel like we have this beautiful thing called freedom, but the reality of it is that they made it that way to control our every step. Of course some upper class people go to "jail" because the system doesn't want to seem corrupt, but the jail they get to go to seems like they're at a resort instead of the real deal. I think we need some more good cops in internal affairs because they aren't doing a great job, too much corruption is slipping through their fingers. You make one mistake and our laws prevent you from moving on and making a new life by making it nearly impossible to find a decent job that is even half of the cost of living.

No, because if this was true I would not had the pleasure of being told by my U.S. Congressman back in 1992 "The disabled have no rights to live much less deserve equals rights." This piece of sh*t informed me that all because I had the nerve to question a law that dates back to 1938 that gives employers the right to pay a disabled employee below minimum wage regardless of the skill level. Equal rights? That does not appear very equal or fair to me.
So when it comes to equal rights, money talks everytime.

Remember OWEN'S Animal farm book. All people are equal but some are more equal than others. These old politicians are sending our children to war by choice and mistakes but their children are busy accumulating more wealth from oil and weapon sales. The state money is controlled by the powerful and rich. There will never be equal right anywhere anytime.

hell the eff no we don't have equal rights! It's almost all about the money today you know?
There are people living on the streets, while rich people lie in big *** home houses.
Mentally disturbed, mentally retarted and disabled people don't get anything they need, rich people, get nothing they need and everything they've ever wanted.
Some poeple can't pay their bills, some people cant get into college, if you aren't rich you don't have anything. Except you are a stronger, and better person, and you do wise things with your money. :]

No they don't. The Duke Lacrosse players are a great example of that. Had they not had the money to pay for top notch lawyers, they would have ended up out of prison.

Not entirely equal but pretty darned near. It depends on the perspective as to whether something is favoritism or not.
Why couldn't the Hiltons get their daughter out of jail time??

NO but you would be shocked if you told my reason for my answer and it has nothing to do with upper, middle or lower classes. Enough said?

When the US Constitution was prepared I'm sure that the concept of all the people are equal was full of exclusions.

The system is very flawed and much corruption and unfairness exist, as you say.

Jurors are usually weeded out if they have any degree of common sense, and the ones that are selected are ill-informed concering their rights and responsibilities.
