I don't have a problem with anyone because of their skin color. I think most other people don't either and we're working on the leftover problems from the past. Unfortunately, right now there are some very nasty racist questions on here but I think that it's just dumb kids who didn't have a date for prom and can't get into college. There have been a lot of homophobic postings as well. It always seems to come up around holidays.
I wonder how many of them have any clue that Memorial Day is for honoring those of all races who gave their lives for our country and its citizens of all races.

Let me just say that I am white, actually of French and Native American descent, and I have encountered more blacks who are racist against whites than the opposite. I spent 5 years in the military and now work and live in Washington state & it has been the same everywhere. People need to let things go, the past is the past, if there are Jews who can forgive the Nazi's for the Holocaust than I can think of no better example of that concept. I work in an inner city area so I'd say at least 50% or better of my co-workers are black and as I said, most of em hate white people just for being white. For whatever reason I am to be punished for something that happened 200 years before I was born and to my knowledge Washington state never even had slavery, and in addition to that most Africans were sold into slavery by their own and enemy chiefs in order to buy guns and other goods for their tribes. Anyway, I am ranting a bit cuz this is a topic I feel strongly about but of course can never discuss. One last thing, everyone is racist everywhere you go in this world but blacks, like most Americans who have not travelled abroad, think the States are the center of the Universe and cannot see that there is a whole world full of hatred and racism for other cultures, religions and nationalities and that unfortunately it just goes on and on.......

Racism against African Americans is just as wrong as discrimination and hate crimes against gay people. I can't even begin to imagine what African Americans, who are gay and living in a location where people aren't receptive of either trait, go through everyday! It almost seems like a double whammy (although I'm not sure if being gay and African American would subject a person to even more discrimination/racism). A very good question indeed!

i think it's very wrong, rude, etc.... i've always said 2 my self that i would have liked 4 the white people 2 have suffered what we black people suffered back then (this goes 2 those who r racist only); and this isn't pay back or anything, i would just like 4 the white people 2 understand and realize what we suffer each day because of the racism against black people

I think it's wrong and think it should of never existed. There are people however that unfortunately can't see past skin color, and color is skin deep. It's really whats on the inside that counts and nothing else should matter.

I hope in the months & years ahead that things will change for both the LGBT community, and African Americans.

You people? I guess I would say that "I consider you people as normal humans as everyone."

Funny that you would come on here to say that you don't have a problem with a certain group of people and ask them how they feel about another group, but start out by saying "you people". guess you don't have any idea how that sounds hu?

A person should not feel superior or inferior to another person, whether that feeling of superiority or inferiority come from sexual orientation, race, gender, religion, or ethnicity. Discrimination is wrong on all levels, no matter how much others attempt to justify it.

I really don't like it. I don't like any racism. But everybody is entitled to there own opinion. I don't think it should matter if you're black, white, big or small. We should all be treated equally.

I believe racism against any people is a disease. The question is....how do you feel?

I find bigotry of all kinds disgusting. whether it's based on race (not just blacks, but people of all races), sexual orientation, religion or culture. the is no one superior group of people....and anyone who thinks they are is nothing but an arrogant bigot. all people are "normal humans."
