What would cause the A/C vent control on my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee to only blow air through the defroster?

Broken vacuum line, or it has come off of a fitting. That's the most likely cause. Look under the dash on the right side.

Some of these systems run on small electric motors some on engine vaccum. You should take it to your local jeep dealer for repair.They correct these type of problems every day.

I agree with the other answer....a vacuum line issue
