Britannica says :

"b. Dec. 14, 1546, Knudstrup, Scania, Den.
d. Oct. 24, 1601, Prague"

That makes 55 years old, right?

"Tycho and Kirstine had eight children, six of whom survived him."

No names, no cause of death given.

"His wealthy and childless uncle abducted Tycho at a very early age and, after the initial parental shock was overcome, raised him at his castle in Tostrup, Scania, also financing the youth's education, which began with the study of law at the University of Copenhagen in 1559-62."

"In 1562 Brahe's uncle sent him to the University of Leipzig, where he studied until 1565."

"Between 1565 and 1570 (or 1572?) he travelled widely throughout Europe, studying at Wittenberg, Rostock, Basel, and Augsburg."

Wikipedia says :

"Kirsten Jørgensdatter gave birth to their first daughter, Kirstine (named after Tycho's late sister who died at 13) on October 12 1573. Together they had eight children, six of whom lived to adulthood. In 1574, they moved to Copenhagen where their daughter Magdalene was born."

"Around 1552 his uncle was given the command of Vordingborg Castle to which they moved, and where Tycho began a Latin education until he was 12 years old."

"On 1559-04-19, Tycho began his studies at the University of Copenhagen. There, following the wishes of his uncle, he studied law but also studied a variety of other subjects and became interested in astronomy. It was, however, the eclipse which occurred on 1560-08-21, particularly the fact that it had been predicted, that so impressed him that he began to make his own studies of astronomy helped by some of the professors."

"While a student, Tycho lost part of his nose in a duel with rapiers with Manderup Parsbjerg, a fellow Danish nobleman. This occurred in the Christmas season of 1566, after a fair amount of drinking, while the just turned 20-year-old Tycho was studying at the University of Rostock in Germany."

Don't be surprised at all the different names of universities. It was at that time quiet normal to travel all over Europe to find the best professors or the best libraries.

He lived from December 14, 1546 – October 24, 1601 according to Wikipedia.com, so I guess that made him 64 when he died.
