Usually people will say sorry without meaning it just to get out of a bad situation and take the easy way out.

I especially hate to hear it when someone finally gets caught doing something wrong and then, all of a sudden, they want to apologize by saying "I'm sorry".
Like someone arrested for a criminal offense and then stating in court for example..."Your Honor, I'm sorry" (hoping for a more lenient sentence).
No, they're NOT sorry or apologetic for what they have done...
they are only sorry because they got caught!

I guess so they can clear their conscience which I don't have so I'm always guilt free and I'm good at making fake apologies.
