Just curious as to what everyone thinks out there. Do you think there will be a #4?

there has to be.
there is no logical way that they can end it like that.
Jack is going to go to the Fountain of Youth thingamababer
and what happens to Will and Elizabeth now?
hmmm?
there is no possible way that that is the ending to the series.
they didnt tie up ANY loose ends, contrary to popular/the critics beliefs.
it doesnt fit.
but in the end, even though they leave everything up in the open, it is DEFINATELY worth seeing!

No, there's not. They ended PotC 3 like they did, just to show that Jack was quite capable of getting back up on his feet again. Jerry Bruckheimer said there is no 'Pirates 4' in the making, nor is there one planned. Some of the actors have expressed interest in making a 4th movie, but nothing has been done about it. Johnny Depp is retiring in a few years anyway. Jerry B. said if they ever did decided to expand upon the trilogy, it wouldn't be for many years.

The rumors amongst Disney fans is that there will be a 4 in about 4 or 5 years...
I hope there will be, I've loved this trilogy!

Oh I hope so! I loved all 3 movies and the 3rd one left me wanting more. I say as long as it stays profitable and the actors are willing keep making them!
Also I'm so ticked that I didn't stay and see the extra scene at the end of the credits..that would have so made the movie that much more enjoyable!

my answer tho this is most likely because seeing from the end of the 3rd, both barbossa and jack have a similar destination on which to sail to

i don't think they would have mentioned "the fountain on youth" if there wasnt going to be another one.
also, Barbossa and Jack are obviously sailing for on reason or another!
