baseball has always been about record's & stat's.

that's alure of the game who done what and when did it happen?

stat's and record's in baseball are taken more seriously
than in other sport's.

it's a national past time to talk about baseball record's & stat's.

the only thing bond's did to this is made a lot of people not
care about talking about record's and stat's anymore
cuase he tarnished them and made people not have
a passion for these topic's as they use too.

why do you's think baseball is trying very hard to get cheater's out of the game?

they want people not to qustion whether record's or stats's are
for real's or not.

and they are serios about this to they put a former u.s senator to
clean the game up and to bring credabilty again to the game.

Chipmate. i have found other thing's to entertain my self from baseball as welll as million's of other people we don't like
watching or being involved in something that is tarnished.

Okay! so what about all them pitcher records? I mean I guess they don't matter since the mound is higher now which makes the pitcher stronger...What about the balls being better (Not hand made anymore) and the logo on them which is bright (so it makes it easy to see)...What about gym equipment being better so you can get a full body workout...? What about trainers knowing a lot more about the body than 50 years ago...? What about the cattle company's feeding the cows steroids? Which is why people are a lot bigger than 50 years ago...

Don't get me wrong steroids hurt sports but that does not mean the records are now worthless...If we let that one thing kill records than we have to kill all the things that make the records being broke a little easier...

Also steroids make you stronger but that they don't make you play the field better nor do they make you have more contact...So don't take everything away from someone who has used steroids...The fact of the matter is doing steroids is more of a moral problem than a sports problem...

Not necessarily, I live in the Bay Area and grew up in So. Cal so being a Dodger fan has definately put me in the minority up here. We are constantly inundated with BB sports talk, news coverage, Headlines and the like. Just like every topic this one divides most people right down the middle. There is no denying he is an amazing baseball player. There is also no denying he definately took the roids, however while the sport is tainted right now... this too shall pass. People who were adamant about how bad it was that Pete Rose bet on baseball, now admit that he should be in the Hall. I think it would be funny if next time they play in LA everybody shows up with a big foam asterisk.

I just ignore recent records by Bonds as well as McGwire. Still fun for me. BTW you are fan of the right baseball team.

I really hope you meant "anathema" and not "enema".

Baseball is played to win games and work toward a championship. Statistics are merely a byproduct -- a huge, stupidly fun, immensely entertaining byproduct, but nonetheless not the raison d'etre. Find whatever amusement within you want, but if any, ANY of them are bothering you, it's time to find another diversion in life.

barry bonds is a dumbass for even using steroids in the first place. all the home runs he got while he was on em should be taken away from him. then we'll see how fast he retires after that.

if Griffey Jr. breaks it and when Arod breaks it. The homerun records will mean something again. The only one that thinks Bonds isn't cheating is Bonds himself.
