They have a 45 year old son and 20 year granddaughter and her boyfriend living with them. None of them work. They want me and hubby to give them money.

Probably because you are stable and have it to lend if they ask in their mind. I would probably talk to your brother in law about when they are moving out or plan on helping your in laws.

I would have said that perhaps you and your husband should help out his parents EXCEPT, if they need help, they do not need to be taking care of their adult son and granddaughter.

They should not expect either of you to help out if they are supporting other people.

Stay strong and make sure you and your husband are "on the same page" when you speak with the in-laws.

Umm, I would say NO before it starts and gets out of hand! They have 3 people living in the home that are capable of getting jobs and helping out financially, let them carry the burden!

Let them know it's time their lazy house guests get up off their ***** and get jobs. Some people expect others to look after them their entire lives. They are called moochers.

don't give them the hard earn money you have worked for. Give them the classified ads or job applications and tell them to get up off their a$$ and do something instead of waiting on handouts. They are not your responsibilty
