Typical lib rhetoric! They *always* have "commonsense" answers to *everything* when the Republicans have the majority; but they quickly forget what they said once they get in office and hope everybody else has forgotten, too!
Right now, the Feds *and* the States *each* make more money off every gallon of gas than the executives and the stockholders do; then the governments turn around and tax the income of the executives and stockholders!

..You know why..pelosi and other politicians always promise "relief from.or free services or a better/more economical "way"/"Plan...Voters always respond to the idea that they will be cared for/or can keep more of their $$ or a righteous sounding plan/idea.. ..Sadly voters routinely fail to recognize that No politician can promise squat! We have a Congress obsessed with personal and ideological power games...WE the voters are irrelevent once they have been empowered. Voters only become valuable at election time ... ..Elections are when voters must be told what they can "get" if they support "x" AND who to blame for their deficits and or "needs". What I find amazing is that congress has the power to legislate yet Bush or the Reps ,conservatives , war mongers, anti global warming crowd , anti stem cell embryo harvesting crowd, oil companies ARE always BLAMED for their inability to produce legislation that actually delivers anything other than pork ,requests for investigative studies/panels and the "needs" of the special interest groups who declare that unions are needed to uphold the economy, the agroculture folks who must be subdized with cash or illegal off the books "workers", the ACLU'ss need for an increased budget to maximize their eforts, etc I think politicians should only be allowed to speak about what they have done and read and post their proposal for "xx". .....A Plan has no value if its nothing more than a idea that has not been written up,refined and presented in detail. Most everyone plans to have a successful happy life but many get distracted ,fail to work their plan get disgruntled when potholes or other things cause detours... etc..

Here is the bottom line. The Pelosi team is only interested in getting elected and staying elected. Its about power for these limousine liberals. They could care less about the American people.
Do you remember when Obama said he had a comprehensive plan to end the situation in the Middle East? When pressed, he refused to give details and said "When I am elected President I will release the details".
That's crap! If you really cared about America and you had a plan to solve any major problem you would implement it.
Sounds like treason to me!

She and Reid traveled this country leading up to the 06 elections promising all kinds of 'Pie In The Sky' action. They knew when they made these promises that they could not fallow through with them. They knew that they would not every have enough votes to achieve any of their lofty goals.
They lied to get elected and the Democrats who voted for them were to naive to see through the smoke and mirrors and find the real motives.

I'm gonna ask that you post this again during the work week .
People need to be reminded of the lies that the Democrats perpetrated in order to get elected .
Pull-out of Iraq promise. . . . Lie
Hints of impeachment. . . . . Lie
Lower Gas Prices. . . . .. .. Lie
I knew they were lying on the first 2 , but my attention was diverted on the gas price lie .
Thank you for the reminder .
EDIT *
I Love how beni_gabor(see above) tries to correct you by publishing the entire statement. . . . . LMAO , and then exposes more of their lies . Thanks Mr. Beni Gabor !! Say hello to Zsa Zsa for me !! She's crazy too .

You guys are really desperate, huh? Who cares what Bush did or did not say about gas prices?
Running for President in 2000, Bush promised ‘no nation building’. Now he has murdered hundred of thousands of innocent, attacked the US Constitution, and made America less safe and more vulnerable than it has ever been. Democrats could screw up for decades and never harm America as much as Bush and his little gang of nit-wits.
Produce any example of Bush telling the truth about anything
Produce an example indicating that Bush even knows anything.
Produce an example of Bush every accomplishing anything on his own.
And, you don’t even have to limit it to the last 7 years. Name a single accomplishment which Bush can claim he earned and deserved.

If this was or is the case, why haven't they enacted it yet, because they can't, the government has no control about gas prices. The democrats like to tax the citizens by increasing sales tax at the pumps, so how does that help to lower gas prices.....it doesn't

I don't see any lie in her statements, but I do believe that her plan is ineffective. We need to increase domestic production, and to increase gasoline refining capacity. Also, if we deported most of the illegal aliens in our country, we would need much less energy. But Kennedy/Bush/McCain/Graham all seem intent on increasing the U.S. population to 400 million by mid-century. How are we going to cut back on energy consumption when our population grows so rapidly?

Well, its certainly more "common sense" than what is currently
going on.
We should stop finacing our highways out of the general tax
fund and start funding it with taxes on gasoline. Yes, this will
raise the price of gas, but it will lower the taxes for those who don't.
The consequence will be that people will be trying harder not
to drive or use other technology to get around.
We're actually in a better place to do this than we have been since
the early 1900s as the "big three" car companies no longer have
anywhere near as much power as they did have in Congress.
To date, we have subsidized the oil companies and the car companies.
It is time to stop.
