I went to Sams with my family. You know how when you leave there are people that stand and check your recipt. Well the man in front of us was older so she walked up to him and a super loud alarm went off. I thought someone had stolen something from sams but then she said, "Oh no i stepped out of my box. My manager is going to be mad." When we looked at the floor sure enough there was a light square about 1x1. What are we turning into treating a human being like a dog! To tell you the truth my dog lives a better life than that. Can you imagine the pain her feet are feeling not walking around all day. What about human rights?? After we were gone everyone agreed that she was probaly just getting minimume wage no more. ~ Citizen ~

Funny in a sick way. Not surprising after I worked for Wal-Mart for over a year. Sams club is owned by Wal-Mart which makes it an evil corporation. They also take out their own life insurance on all current and past employees (known as dead peasant insurance). There's many reasons not to support companies like this and these are just two.
BTW when I worked for them, they hired a bit higher than minimum wage.

The 'box' at my local Sam's club is closer to 3ft square. The person at the door steps off of it all the time. I have never heard a alarm. Your location must be the exception.

Your feet do hurt after being on your feet for eight hours in one little box. I do it everyday, but truth be told, some of us have to make a living. Your bills don't pay themselves, and sometimes employees don't abide by the rules. These things result in your managers coming up with crafty techniques to condemn you to one spot. It works, but yes it is painful. It's a dog eat world, and customers still treat you like crap.

I dont know where you are at, but it's not like that at our Sam's. The ticket checker walks all over the place, I see her back in the Frozen section getting samples sometimes.(when she's on break). But there are no "boxes" anywhere that She must stand in, And She has told Me before that She likes Her job.

The person standing in the box took the job voluntarily, and comes to work voluntarily, and gets paid to do what the boss says.
Who are you to interfere with that private contract? If you don't like it, don't shop there (or at least don't work there). Maybe you should make a big deal of and get the poor guy fired.

OMGSH! That's so sad. Poor guy. Well, maybe the box is for safety. Like, if someone kidnapped him, they'd know it because the alarm would go off. But, maybe he gets more frequent breaks from the box.

That is bizarre. Where is this Sam's Club? At my local Sam's Club they have no designated spot to stand. That doesn't even make sense.
