6x - 14 + 14 = (-7) + 14

6x = 7

x multiplied by 6 divided by 6 = 7 / 6

answer: x = 7 sixths

6x-14+14= -7+14
6x=7 (Because 14 is larger you take the sign of the larger number)
since 6 and x are being multiplied you have to divide 6 to get the x by itself so you are going to divide 7 by 6, you're answer will be 1 1\6.

Ok so they want you to solve for x (which means solve the equation to find what x is equal to)
because we know that the LHS is going to equal the RHS therefore 6x-14 will equal -7
therefore... 6x-14 = -7 << we want to add 14 to the RHS so that we just have 6x on one side and numbers on the other side
6x = 7 << To get x by its self we need to divide x by 6 to get rid of the 6.. and what we do to one side we MUST do to the other so we divide both sides by 6
therefore we get x = 7/6 << and this is our answer

first u need to add 14 with negative 7. so, -7 plus 14 equal to 7. it leave 6x=7.
u divide 7 by 6
=1.2
and this will be your answer!!!!!!
