Until recently I associated the game with all the shows dumb morals and predictable plots.

It gives the game a negative 'kiddy' stereotype, but helps it marketing wise. That why they started making a 3rd game for each set of Pokemon games. It started with Yellow, because kids wanted to start out the game with Pikachu, the way Ash did. Now, it started a tradtion with a third pokemon game with every batch: Yellow, Crystal, Emerald, and god knows for the next one.

The show was out before the game were made from day 1. So the show cant ruin teh games rep if the show was out first.

NO the show is what got me playing the game. Without the show no would even know what pokemon was.

the show was out first and the games pretty much ruined themselves, because they are all pretty much the same set up with different pokemon and better graphics. they need to make the games better with different missions and more interactive.
