I've heard 23 feet and 7,000 pounds on a DVD entitled Sharks that I own. Though they say this is not the typical size. That was an unusually large one. The typical size is 15 feet and 2,000 pounds.

it depends on some ! some might just get or stay real little or it can be twelve feet long but i know i am sure about the first line!

I believe the average size is 13-17 ft. but there was one caught that measured 36ft.
