I dont understand that stereotype has been around for a while now. I hate all stereotypes! i'm brunette now yet i'm certainly a organic blonde, i think of its in basic terms the bleached blondes that get that dumb blonde element im unsure. Its blondes like Paris hilton that provide different blondes a foul call. I dont see what that has have been given to do with women human beings however!

Only in the US and in countries with heavy European influences are they thought of as pretty. Don't flatter yourself.
The stereotype comes from the fact that most blond people in the US are bleached blondes. The strong smell of the chemicals was associated with killing brain cells, hence the idea that blond people were dumb.

Yes! Most girls who think they are pretty are dumb! We are all beautiful... just some of us take more time than others to show ourselves off. All the time and money waisted on looking a certain way and worrying about dumb **** is why so many girls are so dumb.

Um...where do you live? L.A.? because I know TONS of ugly *** blondes. & brunettes are as pretty if not prettier than blondes and we aren't taken off as stupid. Blondes get their "reputation" from the media. Have you noticed that about 20% of Hollywood blondes are actually "smart" all the other act stupid to get even more attention and the ever so popular "oh she's so cute. it's because she's such a blonde"

Hummm if you saw all the scraggle toothed, fat, white trash blondes where I live, you might rethink the "blondes are usually pretty" idea. The dumbness seems to remain a running theme with them, however.
