send an email to the seller ... and get an excuse with your younger sister who always gets you in trouble...

Once you are the highest bidder on an item, you are agreeing to a binding contract to follow through with the purchase. You could contact the seller before the auction ends and explain the situation and maybe you can work it out, otherwise you are legally obligated to pay for the item.As far as being in trouble, you won't be sent to collection or anything,BUT, you may have problems trading on ebay due to the negative feedback and strike against you that the seller can give. You should complete the transaction if at all possible if you are the successful bidder- just think about how you would feel believing that your item is sold, only to have the sale fall through because of a mistake by a buyer.

The only way to remove the bid is to contact the person running the auction and tell them to cancel your bid. They may or may not do this. You may end up with a NPB (non paying bidder strike against you) and you can get kicked off of EBAY with three NPS against you. Which means you would have to create another user ID to buy or sell, if you haven't already. That is the only way I know how to remove bid. It is not something you can do on your side, other than to contact the seller and let them know what's going on and that you have no intent to pay for item. It's easy to get wrapped up in auctions so try to be more careful next time.

1st of all, don't bid unless you really really want the item.

Go to the bid list on the item page and retract the bid. You have to fill out a form. You can only use this a couple times.

You can't use it for every bid you place, so be careful.

been there done that and I sell on ebay. You can contact the seller by going back thru the item listed and tell them. if they say no,don't pay and wait until they file an unpaid dispute. It will leave a small smack on the hand in your ebay account, but remember this, it is your money !!! And if you have to, you can close you ebay account and open another later.

Click on the "Delete Bid" button. If you don't see it, reboot your PC. If you still don't see it. Reinstall java (www.java.com) and reboot again. If that doesn't work, something is seriously wrong with yor pc. Buy a new one because it'll be cheaper then paying for technical support.

Just contact the seller and tell him/her that you dont want the product any more, they should be kind enough to let you go without charging you or leaving any negative feedback.

you should message the seller and tell him you accidentally bid on it and he will probably take it off
