I'm not sure what you are asking but I'll give my answer a shot in the dark ? I over compensated for my kids after I got divorced from their father when they were 6 and 8. I didn't want them to have a divorced life, so I did double duty, thinking they would appreciate it but then they were just taught that mom would do anything for them, but "that's what mom's are for" my now 30 year old son says and neither of my children respect me. I never spoiled them just made sure they got to all sports acitivities practices etc even on the weekends their dad had them because he wouldn't take them, so they thought that was standard practice and now choose him over me :)
