How come my computer, says that my hard drive is full (80 GB) when i just whiped it and theres nothing on it?

My hard drive says its almost full but i have only the main windows components on it, can anyone give me some ideas how to fix it or what the problem is? i know for a fact thres not 80 GB full.

Did you partition the drive? and if so, is one of the partitions just a bit larger than the OS?

Whiped it? Is it foamy or fluffy?

Try check your 'partition'....drive c,d,f?
