They'll do pretty darn good, they're a young, up and coming team with all of there core pieces in place. QB position, they have the number one pick a few years ago Alex Smith who is progressing very good and is there franchise quarterback. They have the most surprising and underrated running back and easily one of the best in the league Frank Gore out of the U, who can run as well catch passes very well, just needs to cut down on the fumbles. He ran for about 1700 yards this year and had almost 500 receiving yards. He's a star. Also have big Vernon Davis at the tight end position, if you don't know him, all you have to do is go look him up, you will be impressed. There defense was there weak point last year but with the additions of Nate Clements, and good young linebacker Manny LAwson who they drafted a year ago, signing Michael Lewis from the Eagles for the safety position. and getting Darrell Jackson to help out there young QB, they are going to be good, and will make the playoffs this year, look at there division. It'll be a few years before they threaten for a superbowl though. And i'm a Bears fan.

I know being from the bay impacts my opinion, but I'm gonna say that the 49ers have a legitimate shot at making the super bowl. Has anyone seen their offseason moves? 4 of them were on defense, which was where they needed help, and plus they got Patrick WIllis in the draft. On offense they addressed the need by getting Darrelll Jackson and Jaison Hill. All in all, they have a good chance of going far in the playoff (if they can just beat the Caridnals).

I'm a Pats fan but I actually have been following closely the development of this team. I see nothing but upside for these guys. The only challenge in their division I see is the Seahawks. If the 49ers can split with Seattle I think they could go 10-6 and maybe have a shot at the division!! GO PATS!!

Better than the Raiders. I'd say eliminated from the playoffs in week 15 or 16.

10-6, their schedule is a bit easy. they adressed their defense, and got some playmakers on offense. Big Vernon and power Gore will lead the way. Division title and deep playoff run.

They have Patrick Willis.. He is a beast.. if they had 10 more of him on defense they would go undefeated..
