What are your line pressures? Is the liquid line icing at the orifice tube? Need alot more info to trouble shoot, but if the pressures are good, it has to be an blend door problem.

What is your head pressure? If the pressure is dropping after a few days, you have a leak. See what the head pressure is. That compressor has a high pressure switch in it. That will give us something more to go on, but it may be a compressor problem, or way overcharged.

If the a/c compressor is turning, then feel the lines. If the small lines burn your hand and the large ones freeze it, the a/c is functioning ok under the hood, and likely it is a blend door issue in the dash. The Expeditions were bad about the actuator motor failing and the blend door itself breaking where the actuator goes into it. Not sure about the Tahoe as far as specific problems, but if the a/c is cold at the lines and the air out of the dash isn't, the trouble is in the dash for sure.

Why do you try to "fill" the a/c if it doesn't have any leaks ? I don't understand how you know you have "compression" ? If you have the equipment a set of gauges, properly connected, will tell you the condition of the system charge so you can tell if you need to add refrigerant or not. Otherwise follow the advice of bartzan4 and check the duct work.

Look for or ask for the location of the orfice tube in your Tahoe. Its a small check valve with a screen filter that goes inline with the system. On my 95 Tahoe the orfice tube was located on one of the lines coming from condenser coil in front of radiator. It only cost about 2 bucks, but you will have to open up system to change it.

Perhaps it is leaking freon?, if not it might be a clogged acumulator or condenser.
