im 18, just graduated high school, and cant afford to drive my truck anymore. I'm selling it for a little more than I paid for it, I paid 3500 and going to sell it for about 3800$. I then found a 1998 ford Taurus, for 2,000$ with a/c, sunroof, cloth interior 117k miles and runs great.... check engine light is off too... I just dont want to get a girly car, or anything that is going to make me feel really gay for having the car. Is this a girl car?? I also intend too tint the windows cause I like to have my privacy... and its beige, which doesn't help the manly side of it.

I personally don't think the taurus is a girly car. I have seen the beige color before and I have seen men driving it. These are pretty nice looking cars I had a 93' Taurus and put almost 280,000 miles on it. I did have some problems air conditioner went, transmission went-the Fords are known to do this, I had some parts that were recalled, when I finally got rid of it it was leaking oil through the main seal gasket. About time to get something better. I do hear the newer models are more reliable. Of course cars need maintenance $2,000 is a great investment. Do like your truck keep it for a little and sell it for more than you paid for it. I forgot to mention that the Taurus does great on gas I used to get 25-30 mpg on mine.

It's not the most manly of cars, but I wouldn't call it girly. You wont be turning too many heads, but it gets good gas mileage. At 18 you should be more concerned with getting a car you can afford and not getting into a 5 or more year loan.

Honestly I don't think the Taurus is a gay car... I used to have a Taurus and I never felt less than manly in it... the bright side of the Taurus is that its efficient in gas... I really think you shouldn't worry about the car being girly (just as long as the car isn't bright pink your good)... Good luck with the Taurus...

I had a 2001 Mercury Sable for approximately six years. This is the identical auto with a moderately distinct seem. There have been plenty of matters I didn't like approximately the auto. In reality, I named it the F-HOP (flaming hunk of poo) for the reason that I hated it such a lot. The engine used to be pleasant even though it did not get principally well mileage and the journey used to be pleasant while you have been going directly. Much of what I did not like used to be the dealing with and braking and main points comparable to the truth that the windshield wipers iced up in any quantity of wintry weather climate. I would not purchase one and shouldn't have purchased this had it no longer been a organization auto. BTW - I used to be capable to name the auto whatever except a hunk of poo, however my then six-12 months-historical son used to be within the auto with me as we have been skidding to a give up within the rain.

Not gyrly, just very dull. Remember, your car reflects your personality. It's says who you are.
