I did 3 home test, one of which had the faintist line. I went to the dr,he did a urine test and it was neg. I had some spotting a week ago,and had some sticky discharge today that had a faint streak of blood. It was like very sticky nasal discharge, but somewhat yellowy. I have had some back pain and the usual crampy feeling. I am a week late.

You are either going to have to wait it out and retest in another week or so, or go back to the Dr. for a blood test.

I agree with the other peeps on here...wait another week or so then test again or go get a blood test. The thing is, sometimes the littlest thing can jar your body out of wack. Stress is a major factor in making your period late- and the more you worry about it, the longer it may take to come. Other things can contribute to a late period like hormonal changes. Your body is constantly changing as you continue to get older and on occasion it gets a bit messed up in the hormone department.
BUT just in case, try to avoid a lot of alcohol, just in case you are pregnant and intend on keeping the baby.
Hope it works out which ever way you want it to!

If you had a faint line and a missed period and spotting and cramping chances are that you ARE pregnant. Your HcG levels might not be high enough to get a good positive result on the test stick.

So you can go for a blood test - they are more accurate.

i would wait a while (2-3 weeks) then take another test. if it comes up negative and still no period, go to the doctor and get a blood test.

Have you gained a lot of weight? Do you have any excess or abnormal hair on your face? I have to fight both of these, and I have polycistic ovary syndrome. It makes your periods irregular, but it isn't dangerous, and some people like the idea of less periods.
Also, an onset of stress could cause this.

OH! Same thing that happened to my mother a while ago. Okay. It could be because of stress. If you're under a lot of stress your hormones and stuff don't function properly. if you have changed birth control recently, that could be your problem as well.
