Vinegar will do the same as lemon juice, but doesn't smell as nice. Both work better when used in the sun. Just remember that if you use either use a GOOD conditioner as they can dry the hair out.

lemon juice does work but in the long run the natural acid in the juice can cause split ends and breakage. There are two products that i know of and both work Sun In and A touch of Sun. Now Sun In works but i dont recommend it to highly for the fact that it is almost like putting bleach in your hair. It gives you the highlights, but there is long term damage after using it a lot or even a little for some people.
Now a touch of sun is by clariol and i love it. It had natural juices in it that highlight your hair without and long term damage. I would try it

I'm pretty sure there is a spray that you can buy at the beauty salons that is called Sun In or something that will cause the sun to naturally high light your hair.

Lemon juice is actually better for blonde hair, but chamomile is good for brunettes! Make sure you shampoo after! (especially if you use lemon juice...)
