I tried no medication, but I was induced. By the time the pain became unbearable (I was starting to black out), the Dr. said I had another 3-4 hours to go. I got the meds., 'cause it was no longer a pleasant experience. I'm glad I did! I really enjoyed the birth of my daughter

I had absolutely no medication. They told me after wards that I was a good candidate for an epidural, but the kid wanted out like yesterday and there was no time. Despite the pain, there's a sense of accomplishment when you do something like that without any type of medical intervention.

Yes I have. I was 9 cm dialated when I got to the hospital. I didn't have any labor pains. I only knew I was in labor because of my water breaking. At the hospital they had to tell me when to push for contractions. I was in labor for 4.5 hours. I had no meds cause of no pain. I was hoping to be able to give birth in the tub. They say that no matter how bad the pain is.......you will forget it when you hold your child in your arms. :) The best thing in the world.

I did once but it was because I didn't know I was in labor and by the time I got to the hospital all I had to do was push twice. I had a stomach virus and until the pain got real bad I thought I was just having pains from the virus

My wife was induced last April. We had twins and she had the lot. It was free and it helped, so why not? 9 hours though the night and then a caeserian! Hats off to you for three natural ones. Well done.

You women seem to think you need to prove something with the amount of pain you have to suffer,
well with my first it was about 20 hours before they gave me a needle in the back & then another 4 hours before they realised i needed a cessa cause my pelvis is to small
& they said for my next child i wouldn't have to have any labour well i had 6 hours waiting for a Dr to operate & they didnt give me anything before my cessa but seriously why suffer if it wont hurt the child!!

No!!!! I was in labor for 36 hours and induced 5 times with my oldest till they gave me drugs, put me to sleep and had a c-section.

I was never going to do that ever again unless the doctors promised me I could have a c-section right away with lots of drugs and put to sleep!!!!

My youngest is only here because that's exactly what they did. We set the date, I went into hospital and woke up new mommy for second time. It took me 5yrs. to have the second!!!!!

Yes, I did.
I had gas and air during the contractions, but I didn't want it anymore when it made me feel sick.
I gave birth with no pain relief, but did have an episiotomy...my girl had a big head!
