I think you guys should trade him to the bears for lance briggs. its a win win situation for both teams, since culpepper is probably being replaced by trent green, who is a good, reliable qb, and lance briggs doenst want to be with the bears anymore anyways and grossman sucks. the bears would have a better qb, and the dolphins would have the best linebacker corps with briggs, thomas, and porter plus trent green.

Daunte had a chance to do really well last year with Chambers. Getting hurt doesn't help his situation. He will be a great option for back up. Kinda like Jeff Garcia with the Eagles.

William,
When He was playing for the Vikes the Packers were a very good team ( hense the two superbowls and some of the best seasons in the league.) the NFC north was not weak until a few years ago. they used to be a very respectable division.

I'm a bigger Cullpepper fan and let me tell you, hes in a slump now. He probably could start again, but his knee is a big problem of his. If he can fully rehabilitate his knee, he'll likely find a good spot and a new "Randy Moss" to throw to. I would love to see him do his traveling foul endzone dance again anyway.

You're almost making excuses to keep him in a starting role with your comments. Can't he win the job outright if he's not behind Carson Palmer or Peyton Manning? His knees, reads and accuracy are all suspect.
He hasn't ever proven himself, so maybe some healthy competition with a young star might be just what lights the fire back in Duante.

Daunte Caulpepper had one great year for Minnesota. Most of the time he was inconsistent. He also had Randy Moss in his prime who was thrown the ball almost every time it went in the air. With all the surgeries he has had, it is only a matter of time before he is injured again.

2 questions.
Daunte could play this year.
His good years were in the NFC North. He is now in the AFC East where even the poorer teams have good defenses.
Donovan was a turnover machine in the weaker NFC North (remember this was even pre-Bears so the whole division sucked eggs.) He can match that level.
Sorry, Saban screwed you guys royally by not picking Brees.

all real first issues first Brett favre shouldn't the vikings because of the fact eco-friendly bay charged the vikings for illegally chatting with favre with out their permission. additionally it relatively is very no longer likely that the %. will commerce favre to everyone interior the NFC North to have him harm them interior the final 6 weeks of the season. Now to answer your question i do no longer think of the bears will sign Culpepper because of the fact they suspect in the two Grossman and Ortan (even although they the two blow)
