I'm in middle school, and we aren't doing anything special for the last day of school--no field day or anything so I could get away with wearing a dress. Also, we can't wear strapless dresses (like the one I chose) or spaghetti strap dresses without a jacket or something covering the shoulders (hence the jacket...
Ok, so here it is.

And fyi my hair would be straightened down but with a thin yellow headband (http://www.jcrew.com/catalog/product.jhtml?id=prod78121371&catId=cat190204 in plain yellow with no gingham print)
Your thoughts?

Thanks for being so helpful you guys! By the way, as just a reminder, remember that the headband isn't the link I gave, it's the same width but a different product in plain yellow (I just gave that link to show the general idea of what the width and fabric type etc is). I'll be looking for something better than the jean jacket, I agree, it's not the best.....

Have a good end-of-the-school-year to you all as well!

i am a man . i don't know about that dress. i think a dress that has less squares and stuff on it is better. a dress that is one colour or a dress that has little flowers . as for the shoes i have no clue . i like girls in a hat it is rare too see a girl in a hat that is not looking hot.
the hair pic looked nice but what about wearing your hair down after all in 20 or 30 years even less you will love to see pics of you with long wonderful hair. when your hair turns grey and it will not that far off trust me you will really like to see your pics with long hair and a dress that shows your great shape.
don't wear to trendy a thing because you want something that will be timeless meaning your kids wont laugh and say mom you wore that to school .

I love that dress it is so pretty, I think a shorter denim jacket would look better with that, like one that stops just below your bust line. The outfit looks put together yet is kept casual with the shoes and jacket. Have a good last day and take lots of pics so you can remember the day.

These are your choices right? I trust that you know what you look good or attractive in; I have to admit that it isn't easy to say without seeing you in the outfit but I'll go out on a limb and say that yes, this outfit is cute; the colour scheme of the dress is somewhat unusual (in my opinion) and I admit I wouldn't have thought of pairing it with a denim jacket but perhaps you will make a very good impression in it?
Have a great week!

when you click on the dress i like the outfit they suggest to go with it, i also think the jacket would look great with it. I however do not like the skinny headband i think it is ugly i however do like the headband in the page where the dress is it is suggested to pair with the dress, and i think the flip flops destroys the outfit, you should try some wedged or flats or sandals but not flip flops

The dress, the jacket, the headband, flip flops - all cute, and all can be worn with other things. I think they will look great together.
I hope you won't be too hot, though. Is you school are conditioned? [ If you think you might be too warm, look for a lace, linen, or eyelet jacket.]

i think the overall look is ok...the plaid dress is absolotuey adorable.. but i dont think you should pair it with a jean jacket.. that kinda look tacky plus the fact that its summer and you dont relli wanna sweat to much.. i suggest getting a thing shrug or shawl to cover it up or you can get a complete other dress with shoulder coverage or a thicker strap.. i loce the dress but i dont like the jean jacket paired wiht it

that looks so cute.. i say go for it! are you going out and buying those things, for a special last day of school outfit? cause i think thatd be good, each piece could be re worn differently.. the jacket, dress etc. like the dress could be dressed up or down, so thats always good. dresses are so perfect for summer.. my all time fave :):)

they let you wear strapless but not spahgetti? but anyways, love the dress. hate the jacket. why dont you get a cuter one at justice limited too or charlotte russe.i would ,in my opinion, use a thicker headband.also with your flip flops, paint your nails burgandy. pls take my advice!
