a big Hell No..
I have dumped many, many friends when it comes down to this situation..if you are my friend I will accept you for the person that you are (no matter how many annoying habits you have or even if I don't necessarily understand why you do the things you do)
you call a friend a friend for a reason...to try to change them or make them do things differently..hmmm I think a person needs to question what kind of 'friend" they really are..

No- not at all? I dont think a good friend would do that in the first place?

We are Whom we are- and our friends are our friends because of that-If we are doing something wrong-our friends can help us over come that-

If they as us to change "visually," then what does this "friend" see us as? I would move on to another friend-

That's "who you are".

If a trait or traits that you display are negative to the point of being unnecessarily harmful to you or others, then it is a good quality for them to have, because it indicates they are truly looking out for you. Otherwise, they aren't doing it for you but rather themselves, which isn't a good quality for them to have.

Depends on what they want you to change. If its something like quitting smoking, then yes, that is good. If it is something about your appearance they are probably just trying to help. But if its a personality trait, and one that you happen to be comfortable with, you should not change that for anyone.

Only if they´re doing it out of the pure interest of wanting to help you and because they think they way you are right now and the things you are doing might be hurting you.....

A true friend will accept you as you are, but at the same time inspire you to be a better person.

No the best friends accept who you are, and support you when you try to change yourself.

if it's a quality that NEEDS change, then I say it's a friend's duty.

Well I guess they are trying to help you. At least that's what I'm told when I am corrected.
