i have this dvd that my aunt just made me but i want to make a copy of it onto my computer

1st, make sure your computer can read DVDs (has a DVD-ROM drive)
Then, make sure you have a program that can play DVD files.
Now, insert the DVD in to the DVD-ROM drive. Assuming that your computer runs on Windows, go to "My Computer", right-click on the DVD icon, click "Explore", and drag the files into a folder on your computer

read the tutorial of your windows movie maker program if you have xp.
but the best solution get a tv tuner/video capture card it has software to capture video and audio to be copied to your drive.
