The Lakers can get put out of the 1st round off the playoffs without Kobe Bryant being there.
There is nothing worse than keeping a spoiled rotten brat in a place he does not want to be at deep down. He is better off elsewhere.

I feel that anyone that thinks Kobe Bryant is a selfish player is not keeping up with the day to day Laker games and see his position to expload in so many different ways. He is a dynamic scorer, we know that, but if you look closely, you can see that all of the shots that his teammates get from his great splitting of the defense or the dribble drive are wide open shots. Kobe is the only player that can play the role of the most dangerous player in the NBA due to the fact that if you have a bad season with him, you know he is the most loyal captain slash most dominant player in the entire leauge. Sending Kobe away is saying the total opposite of what he is. You cannot give another team to do the easy task of working around the best and most dominant player in the NBA if you have the opportunity right now. Yes, it's true they will now compete witht the top guns next year should they get Kobe's way, but they will at least beat the teams that are under .500 which is the problem for the Lakers for the past 3 years. Kobe should not could not and will not have a different jersey on unless it's a Lakers' jersey for the rest of his career in pro basketball.

I am a Laker fan and Kobe is doing the best he can. He's not leaving L.A. Let me remind all you dumb *** people who think Kobe is a ball hog. He leads the team in assists. When his teammates don't make the shots( that's usually all the time) Kobe has no choice but to step up and make the shots or the Lakers will lose. I watched all the games this year and the Lakers need to get help big time. His teammates aren't getting the job done. That's why he leads the NBA in scoring this year and last year cause his supporting cast just are not getting the job done. Like when Shaq was there. People were standing around just watching. But he had support. Kobe, Glenn Rice, Ron Harper, Robert Horry, Brian Shaw, Gary Payton, Devon George, D-Fish, Lindsey Hunter. These were big names. I never liked Odom. Even as a Clipper. He's not that big of threat. And Bynum lacks the killer instinct to be a geat center. Kobe still has 7 plus years left in his career and giving him up would be the same as giving up Babe Ruth in his prime. Kobe's going to do some amazing things in the future. Watch. You'll see. Dr. Buss sees this as well. Kobe's very rich thru the Laker organization and thru endorsements. He'll have no problem restructuring his contract to get better players. Lakers in the finals this year. At least.

They need to bring Jerry West back if they knew what they were doing. Mitch Kupchack has shown us that he is not able to make the proper choices in constructing a more talented championship worthy team. Jerry West on the other hand has proved himself and has a history of great managing, especially with Kobe Bryant and the Lakers. The Lakers need to make some serious changes this off season with exception of Walton, Farmar, bynum, or Lamar, if they want any chance in that vicious western conference.

Totally agree except for trading Kobe. Kobe is a greedy and selfish child who can't figure out "team" isn't spelled with an "I". If Bryant REALLY wants rings, he needs to give away some of that fortune he's already got. What, will he go broke?
Money isn't respect; it's accomplishments that command respect.

Sunday LA Times, Plashke's column suggests just this. Suggestion is Kobe can't ask for a trade because of negative view, but his repeated demands are a way of asking out. Author says to ship him out!

Is Kobe pissed at Kupchak, too, for trading Shaq and not Kobe instead? Maybe I'll respect Kobe now. At least he may finally be telling the truth!
"We are better off without him" ... right... WRONG! Kobe finally sees the light?

I don't think he's gonna be out of LA. They need to bring another All Star and rebuild around both of them. Once they have to major names then they have 2 or 3 years to get good role players to win the championship. I don't see LA winning next year no matter who they bring but probably in 2 or 3. Trade Bynum!!!!! he ain't gonna be that good I promise!!!

F*ck Kobe they wouldnt have had to rebuild if not for him in the 1st place. Horry, fisher, and a few other pieces might have stayed. So the H*ll with his crying, he wanted to be the man so now he is, now lead them to the title.
