The top new inexpensive model around now is the Compaq Presario C501. It is 15.4 and has all the basics plus a great brightview screen and sells for about $470. You may get something cheaper if you check for sales but that is the regular price.

Have you tried Ebay, or your local pawn shop. If you do try your local pawn shop, make sure that the pc works, and if there was a password installed to boot up your system. You will need the passworld.

You get what you pay for. Just DONT get a re-furb or used off ebay. Been there, done that.
