Let the coaches teach you and place you where they need you. Every position is important in football. Just go out there and try.

Umm...hon....as a girl...

You're not going to be on the team. Unless it's as a kicker and then even a SLIM chance.

Other than that one girl who played line in HS (and she bulked herself up to about 300 lbs I think to do it), it simply won't work.

Football is for guys. Period. People have gone nuts when a guy tried to join the LPGA because they played on different tees, but if a girl tries to do the PGA or other men's sports, then it's "oh, look, good for her...you go girl!"

I'm sorry. I know you may have your heart set on this, but if you don't even know the positions or the rules or how the game is played, how sure are you that you can actually play?

the object of the game is when you are on OFFENCE is to score a touchdown or a field goal

there is 2 ways to move the ball by throwing the ball or running the ball.

A QB throws the ball and a RB throws the ball

a touchdown: is when you get the ball to the opposite end of the field and you get 7 points

a field goal: when you kick the football throught the field goal posts and you get 3 points

DEFENCE is to stop the offence from scoring you start by kicking the football to the offence on a ( kick return ) and they run it back and you tackle them as soon as you can and then it is nowmal football.

ok the main positions are

OFFENCE:

quarterback/ ( QB ): throws the ball to the recievers and is the play caller

runningback/ ( HB ): runs the ball on offence

widereciever/ ( WR ): catches the ball from QB and runs for a touchdown

offencive line men/ ( OL ): protect QB and make a line to keep the defence from sacking the QB

DEFENCE

defencive linemen./ ( DL ): trys to sack the QB and get the ball from him

safteys/ ( S ): defends the wide recieves to try and make sure they don't catch the football

linebackers ( LB ): also try to sack QB and defend the widerecievers and stop RB

cornerback/ ( CB ): also defend widerecievers

I was thinking you're not serious until I saw you answered all your other questions seriously.

The coaches you get are critical to how much you can pick up quickly. I would say do some reading first.

You should start with the link below and browse around. I wish I could coach you. I am going to coach my kids when they are old enough. You would be the first girl, though.

ok rebecca if you dont know any of the positions for football or anything about it. You REALLY shouldnt be on the team. And FYI there are 35 different positions and about 100 penalties and rules. So save yourself the embarrassment and dont be on the team!
