Not a hope in hell do the Vikings be a bottom 5 team...

---

DEFENSE:

The defense was 8th last year in total defense

GONE:

They lost Napoleon Harris (MLB) who was a good blitzer but was not suited for coverage at all

Fred Smoot (CB) had 2 horrible years in Minnesota and I think every Vikings fan is glad that he is gone. He was downright awful in the cover 2 and got burnt so many times it wasn't even funny.

ADDED:

They added Marcus McCauley (CB) who was ranked as one of the best cornerbacks last year but had a bad senior year due to a concussion

Brian Robinson (DE) who has Gaines Adams combine stats beat in most areas (except .02 slower in the 40) and is gonna be a great situational pass rusher

Rufus Alexander (LB) was added for depth but could surprise a lot of people. His comebine stats were pretty weak but his stats on the field were great.

They also got back from injury Erasmus James (DE) who was a 1st round pick

Chad Greenway (LB) who is their best coverage linebacker and was also a 1st round pick

Devonte Edwards (CB) who was suppose to be the Vikings nickel guy last year

Charles Gordon (CB) who was suppose to be the dime guy

There are 4 guys there that will definetely see some playing time and the other 2 will definetely be on special teams

So their biggest woe was that they had a bad pass defense... Well those stats were inflated cuz teams threw on them 40 times a game (most in NFL)

They got 3 more cornerbacks and 2 defensive ends...

So by all means they only moved forward this off-season

I can see top 5 defense!

OFFENSE:

GONE:

Gone is Brad Johnson (QB) who couldn't even throw 20 yards without the ball wobbling and wasn't accurate at all on those deep balls

Travis Taylor (WR) was a slow possession receiver who fumbled a way a few games for the Vikes last year and got the boot for such reasons

Jermaine Wiggins (TE) although a funny guy to watch he was horribly slow and could not block for beans. They had to get rid of him.

Bethel Johnson (WR) was a solid kick returner but his receiving skills were nothing more than a 4th string WR

ADDED:

Visanthe Shiancoe (TE) who although is far from a stud. Can actually block and is actually pretty fast. He will definetely be better than Jermaine Wiggins this year.

Bobby Wade (WR) is a guy who has some speed. He will be a solid 3rd WR and should post up respectable numbers

Adrian Peterson (RB) should have not fallen to the Vikings. This guy was the 2nd best player in the draft, he is absolutely gonna tear it up. Only reason he fell was due to injuries, but when he has played he has been nothing less than stellar.

Sidney Rice (WR) was another steal for the Vikings come draft day. A 6'4 with decent speed and the best hands in the draft experts say. He would have been a top 15 pick if he would have stayed for his senior year.

Aundrae Allison (WR) was ranked as the 11th best WR in the draft, yet fell all the way to day 5. He has 4.39 speed and is a real playmaker.

---

Troy Williamson took courses with NIKE in the off-season to fix his eye sight. He has apparently been impressing during camp and has caught over 13,000 balls since his training started.

Tarvaris Jackson will be much better with some reps with the starters. He has an absolute cannon being able to throw 85 yards and is one of the better mobile quarterbacks in the NFL.

---

Expect a decent season from the Vikings...

Who could even make the playoffs!

middle, still top ten proablly due to the fact that they do not have a good enough defense to win games, even though they were 8th last year, many great defensemen were released, and the last QB (brad johnson) was one of the only things that was good on the offense. The man that added all the remarks about how bad the leaving players were and how good the new ones are is very opinionated. if the players were that bad, how would they be on the team in the first place, the draft is also very hard to forcast, look at ryan leaf, and eli manning, eli is not the best and ryan is out of football and had a horrid career, both were #1 overall

i think of your record is sweet, yet incorrect a sprint. a million. New Orleans Saints - Like DCFF reported, till they're dethroned, they take a seat atop the NFL international. 2. Indianapolis Colts - Peyton Manning is of undertaking each and every twelve months, and in spite of a few a threat training subject concerns, they're nonetheless a suitable team. 3. Minnesota Vikings - nonetheless the suitable canines interior the NFC North till eco-friendly Bay or Chicago knock them off. If Brett Favre comes back, they're in basic terms as dominant as final twelve months, if not extra functional. 4. eco-friendly Bay Packers - Very promising offense and protection with a stable blend of old and youthful. got here close final twelve months, so Aaron Rodgers is hungry for extra. 5. Dallas Cowboys - any such gifted roster, and now with Dez Bryant at huge receiver, they could desire to be extremely reliable on offense. Like eco-friendly Bay, have additionally tasted some fulfillment, and could choose so lots extra in 2010.

Minnesota can't get much worse then they were last year. Chad Greenway will be back after missing the entire season last year which will give a boost to the defense. If adrian Peterson reaches his potential they will be able to control the clock and will be a much better team. They are weak at Quarterback and until that is fixed I don't think they will win the north.

They probably won't be picking that high unless Tarvaris Jackson really sucks. But Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor will combine for one hell of a backfield and that alone will keep them somewhere in the middle.

Oh and the guy who said Houston will be bad, well you obviously know nothing. Carr isn't around and we have a new QB, RB, D-Line, we improved the O-Line and we should at least be 8-8

I think the Vikings have another vanilla team that can't stretch the field like last year. They are doomed to repeat last year's mistakes with some corrections, maybe 7-9.

You mean the bottom 5.
If they are in the 5 bottom, where do you think they will be in the draft picking?
Regardless, I'm a Green Bay Packers fan, and I hate the Mamasota Vixens.

Yes , I feel very confident that they will be one of the 10 worst. Bottom five.......I don't know. Det, OAk will still be there. Mia and Tampa will be better I think. CLE should be better but still bad. I see GB, and HOU doing poorly as well.

Bottomline MINN needs to get a QB.

OAK
DET
HOU
MINN
GB
CLE
MIA
TB
Sleeper to be great 49ers.

No, but they won't make the playoffs either but they'll be close. On the cusp.
