For the fallen soldiers?

Question

I thought we could try something. (A survey poem) In honor of all the fallen soldiers from the past to preset.

I will start be writing a couple lines- I guess the only rules would be-to speak from the heart and make it rhyme if possible. Doesnt have to be a full thought-Just write a couple lines and come back later to read the total tribut.

'We breath the air from day-to-day,
from lives like ours that came to pay-

For our country you do serve
All my thanks you deserve

Some fell on beaches,
others went down in fields

from lives like ours that came to pay- ( not mine )
They put themselves on the line. ( not mine )
To defend our country, yours and mine. ( not mine )
a price to high, ( not mine )
in a land far away. ( not mine )
we don't know their names, ( mine from now on )
they don't want any fame,
most of us cried the day,
they fought there lives away,
but, those soldiers did us proud,
they were shouting very loud,
they lost buddies in the war,
i just want there to be no more,
oh, how we miss them,
they were brave women and men.



I know I'm not that good, but i wanted to try.
