Aspects:
1)Johnny's eager to make more Pirates pics. "He's a blast to play," Depp said of his Pirates protagonist. "I'll be in a deep, dark depression saying goodbye to him (Jack Sparrow). ... I'll keep the costume and just prance around the house, entertain the kids." "Maybe Pirates 4, 5 and 6," he told Newsweek. "If they had a good script, why not? I mean, at a certain point, the madness must stop, but for the moment, I can't say that he's done."
2)Keira wants off the ship, she says she have been playing Elizabeth since she was 17, and she's onto very different things.
3)If there will be a forth film, Gore Verbinski may not be the director. Berkeley Breathed explained :"Gore's sick of pirates. If I wrote a scene that had to be shot on water, he'd run the other way." Given that Berkeley & Gore are now working together to try & turn Breathed's 2003 children's book, "Flawed Dogs: The Year End Leftovers at the Piddleton "Last Chance" Dog Pound" into a CG film for Walt Disney Pictures.
4) Orlando's much-loved character, Will will reportedly be killed off in the fourth instalment of the Disney series, as producers struggle to "cut costs". According to British newspaper reports, Bloom's character is deemed "not necessary" to the sea-faring saga.
5) MacKenzie Crook , the guy who played Ragetti in the movie said: "(The story is) lelf wide open. They've not burned any bridges there, but I don't think they are talking yet of specific plans for any more. I'm a big fan of trilogies, and I think it would be great if they could see their way to just leaving it here. But I doubt they will."

I read an interview with Johnny Depp and he said that there were not going to be any more but he was sad to let the part go. Though the ending of the movie was left open. But they can't continue becuase

The ending was to find the fountain of youth. If they were to discover it in the next movie.. well that would suck they wouldn't die. and that wouldn't make a very good movie. But it was just suppose to leave you to wonder.

There isn't supposed to be, however, they did leave the 3rd one with many open story lines that could turn into another movie should they decide to do one, but don't expect it anytime soon.

what i THINK is that they wont be able to do it. what i KNOW is that there is a script being written for part 4, but scripts mean nothing. kiera knightley has quit because her contract is up and she says she would never do another one after "world's end". johnny depp's contract is up, so they'd need to convince him to sign another. orlando bloom was....(drum roll please) FIRED! yes he is in world's end but he has been fired and is not able to be in any upcoming sequels. what is pirates 4 without them?

They're talking about making a fourth, but chances are if they do, it will not be a continuation of the first three... but a spin-off.
