How did the volcano, Mount Pinatubo, get its name?

I am just curious to know how this massive volcano got its name. I know the volcano is located in the Philippines.

im a pure filipino and i relly know about Philippines Mount Pinatubo means "to grow"

"pinatubo" means to make grow in tagalog.

My guess is that's it is an ancient tribal type name. But that is purely an educated guess.
