Could someone give me an example of the above statement. I will be using the above reference with a real life example of my own for Business class but I want to be sure I know what it is saying.

Actually, if you are in a Business Course, it doesn't mean the way "perishable" is in meat or flowers.

For example, a hotel room and stadium seating are perishable. You cannot put them in storage to be used later. There are exact times they need to be filled.

During Spring Break in Panama City Florida, the hotels can't automatically gain twice as many rooms. You have what you have and ideally they sell out throughout the year although this isn't usually the case. Realistically, there are times when the hotel owners could use twice the rooms and times when they only rent out a few. This is what is meant by "perishable" in the Business sense of the world.
