Barbara Walters and Bill Gedes and ABC knew exactly who they were getting with Rosie, this was no big surprise. With the departures of Meredith and Star , they needed some upmpth and Rosie provided that .

As for Barabara she is a business woman as well as a journalist, she's going to do what's right for Barbara and what is the bottom line for Barbara and ABC.

I've lost a tremendous amount of respect for her these past two years.

I think elisabeth needs her ears pinned back, anyone who actually rips out pages of children's books or colours out words, has bigger problems than just being the GOP and Bush apologist on the show. C'mon Barbar 's been around 50 years and she's freaking out because two elephants who are cousins got married and thinks it's incestuous. When she said that a few months ago I thought the woman's lost it. she's a stepford wife , mummy , daddy and her husband tell her what to think and she just repeats it. Time she stayed home with the kiddies and ripped out some more pages of her children's books, although maybe in a year or so Grace will be able to explain them to her.

Barbara Walters is the executive producer. She made that show. Her phone is the one that rings when people get upset about what is being said. She encourages an open discourse about a variety of topics, but she has to be the one to call the shots. I enjoyed seeing Rosie on The View. She added fire to a cooling show. I know that if Ms. Walters wants to add another strong voice and keep the show going...she will. If she decides that it has run its course, then it has. I have the utmost respect for Ms. Walters and all that she has done.

I've lost a lot of respect for Barbara Walters in the last couple of years.

The whole Star Jones thing made her look like a lying hypocrite. I didn't like Star, but she was honest and said she was leaving because her contract wasn't renewed. Then Barbara got all self-righteous saying that she was shocked at Star's revelation and said that she'd agreed to go along with whatever story Star wanted to tell about her departure. It ended up leaving Star smelling like a rose and BW like sh*t.

Then, the Rosie/Donald thing. I normally wouldn't believe a word that came out of Trump's mouth, but after the whole Star thing, I had my doubts about BW's sincerity.

And finally, the way she panders to rich people on that show is disgusting. To hear her talk about Kathy Hilton, you'd think she was frickin' Mother of the Year instead of parent to the biggest train wreck on the planet (Paris, of course). She does the same with Rupert Murdoch - sucks up to him and defends him, even though everyone knows he's a Bush cronie and can't possibly be disinterested regarding his ownership of Fox News.

Barbara lost a lot of respect within a couple of yrs. She had the mess with Star Jones, they she made a big mistake with BIG MOUTH Rosie and lost control of the show, as she seemed to be afraid to say any thing on the show for fear of Rosie'e scorn. It came across really clear, all the chatter at one time, the audie, can hardly understand what was being said most of the time UNLESS Rosie was Ranting about Crap, she knows 0 about. Cancel it and do all a favor...

Rosie is a moron who should never be on the View to begin with. She will be better off making a complete a** out of herself on her own TV show. She is doing it already on her blog at www.rosie.com. I cannot believe that Barbara Walters could stand her for as long as a whole year!!!!

Barbara Walters works my Last Nerve! What a phony name dropping old wind bag! She tries to come off so sweet and sincere and you know behind the scene's she is just a BIG B.
I love the fact that she can't keep her facts straight, so she has to wear a ear piece and let someone else think for her! It's time for her to GO AWAY! Please stop talking about your perishes Jackie that you adopted. OK we hear you the first time. OK Shut up already!

Why call a show "The View" if you're only going to allow the co-hosts to express viewpoints as long as no one gets offended? I think behind that sweet toned, soft spoken Barbara is a very deceptive and contradictory person. Let Elisabeth Hassellbeck carry the show. Would love to see those ratings.

Everyone lies at one time or another, but I wouldn't call Barbara a liar. I think she needs more control over those other out-of-control hosts.

Barbara has the experience and knowledge to make good emotions and good things happen her way. I personally don't trust her, but she's got things going her way. Did anyone question why she wasn't there when the s_h_i_t hit the fan? No!! Because she may have known things were going to get out of control and cause people to take sides.
