ipod question?

so my ipod needs to be reformatted so i need all the software because it's a 3rd generation 15gb, and i don't have it so does anyone know where i can find it?

maybe not reformatted but i need to reinstall the program and settings onto the ipod because my computer doesn't recognise it

Make sure your iTunes is current?
