Okay, another thing. Where is the eject button for the floppy drive.

I finally got it to cut on, but it has a floppy image in the center of the screen. What does this mean?

Hello butters_2121,

You got yourself an ancient Macintosh. Some of the older tan Macs had a power button in the back of the main processing unit (the computer box). There is also a reset button back there. I'd do a Google search for the user manual for this. You might even be able to search the Apple web site and download something there.

First off, go here and print this page out. It has all of the technical information about your Macintosh.

Also, you should probably get involved with your local Macintosh Users Group. This is a great resource to get the technical help and software that you need. Go here and search from your zip code to find the one closest to you.

I'm sorry that I don't have much else to give you. Best of luck to you.

Can't recall the exact model, but the power button on those times (ancient Motorola Macs and early Power Macs) are weird; there's a weird key on the keyboard that has a triangle embossed on it look like 'Play' on a VCR/DVD that is power button.
