...just remembering the film now, sends an icy-cold chill down my spine!!! Released in 1983, Ray Bradbury's "Something Wicked This Way Comes" was one of the creepiest creatures to be spat out of the Disney factory.
Jonathan Price's ever-slinky, s-s-s-snake-like performance as Mr. Dark, is oh-so c-c-c-cold, shuddering and demonically menacing, to relate an understatement; an ah-ah-ah-alluring and hypnotic apparition, bearing gifts of most heartfelt desire, only to horrifically turn the tables on hapless wishers, revealing the dark side of those desires, and the inevitable price that must be paid....
...w-w-w-whowww!! Ever have that feeling that someone just step over your grave??
...even beautiful 70's exploitation superstar Pam Grier herself, exhues a most abysmal and cooly devilish presence, as a shrouded accompanying witch...an accomplice to the inevitably fateful and heartlessly driven supernatural antics of Mr. Dark...
...Disney has hardly gotten any creepier than this (Brrrrrrrrr!!!)

Hmm...I don't find it weird at all. I mean..it IS rare to find someone who is ACTUALLY afraid of Walt Disney World and the Cinderella Castle. Everyone's different, we all have something that we're afraid of. So I don't know how the first person who answered this would say that your friend or whatever is looking for attention because she could be afraid of clowns for all I know and THAT isn't weird? Not everyone is like her 2 or 3 year old child who loves Disney. You can't expect everyone to react the same way to everything and I have to admit that when I first saw the new Walt Disney Pictures logo I kinda freaked out. So let the girl be. Having a fear of Walt Disney World/Castle/Logo is like having any other fear. Or do you think having a fear of walking isn't odd?

It's got to be a tie between Treasure Planet and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Treasure Planet was full of really horrible looking aliens. The main character and his mother were the only human-looking creatures in the movie. It was dark and depressing and if I'm watching Disney, it better be Dah-Dah, darnit!
Hunchback...ditto for dark and depressing. I don't think that Victor Hugo had THAT in mind when he wrote the book. And didn't Esmerelda DIE at the end of the book? In the movie (now I only saw it once 11 years ago and was thoroughly disgusted with it then) didn't she sort of just run off with Phineas (was that the guys' name?) It was a real perversion of a book that was never meant for children.
I wish that Disney would go back to corrupting fairy tales (Snow White, maybe do Rapunzel next) and leave history alone! (Their Pochahontas was pretty buxom for a 13-something-year-old...)

Although it was more like a half-hour show, I thought the creepiest Disney production was "The Headless Horseman". Also, the segment in "Fantasia" w/the ghosts, skeletons, etc. is pretty intense. Why were they creepy? Well, for obvious reasons....

Snow White, when I was little, because the dwarfs scared me. They were all... you know, little, and wrinkly and such. It just freaked me out. Plus the whole witch thing, but that's more scary than creepy.
