The old professor says: Perhaps so. There is serious research into fossil feces (coprolites) which enable paleontologists to determine the metabolisms of long extinct creatures, their eating habits, and some of their physical attributes...like how large was the rectum of an apatosaurus or T. Rex.

Some insects and small rodent-like creatures were stuck in pine sap millions of years ago. The sap became amber and the intact fossilized remains of these critters were entomed in the amber and small bubbles are also found with them. Extracting the gases from within these bubbles and subjecting them to analyses has also yielded some interesting results on ancient atmospheres, and perhaps some flatulance.

Human fossils are rare, but are well documented. This is depending on your definition of a fossil. If you define them as any evidence of pre-existing life, then any skeleton would do.
Links on fossils abound. Just go to Yahoo search or Google, and type in fossils. Hit the return or search button, and presto! Hundreds of sites will show up.

By the way...coprolites are an endangered feces.

There is fossilized poo. Its called coprolite. And yes there are fossils of the earliest humans. Like homo erectus. Use Google Scholar to find some papers on early human fossils.
