go to the library and get a book on tape.
They can read TO YOU and you can do other stuff (take a bath, do your nails, shread bills etc)
so you can get stuff done while feeding your mind.
If you are stuck for a book
try the best sellers list in the area that you think you would have an interest in.
also, if you go to AMAZON and put in the books that you have read, they can give you a few suggestions based on what you ahve read in the past.
