Called to make reservations today for late june and none were availiable. Chef Mickeys is one place we HAVE to go when we visit Disney. Do they still take walk-ins? Or any tricks for making reservations?

Going during peak season and being so close it will be hard to get a reservation. There is no guarentee that you will get to eat there if you just walk-in, but it is worth a shot, there is always a chance. Having an advanced dining reservation makes it a little easier though and that way you know you have something.

Just remember that people cancel all the time. So, as the other answer said, keep calling and you may get lucky. Also, don't forget to stop calling to check even when you are in Disney. Some people will cancel right before or when they are there as well. However, not everyone cancels, so if someone just doesn't show up, that would be the best way to get a seat while just walking in.

I would definitely keep calling until you go, that is the best way to try and get your table. If you still aren't able to get a seat, then I would try checking once you get there. If you aren't staying at the contemporary though, I don't know if I would take the time to go each time to check, unless you can get there by the monorail. However, if you don't mind taking the time it will still give you the best chance.

Hope this helps!

Yup, that will be tough. All you can do is to keep calling to see if anyone has cancelled. But walk ins that time of year are almost never accepted.
If a meal with Mickey is a must, you can always make a dining reservation inside EPCOT at the Garden Grill Restaurant. This rotating restaurant is very popular and is located inside the Land Pavilion! Dine with Mickey, Chop N' Dale, and other Disney friends!

That place is so popular that I can't imagine getting a table without a reservation. There are always dozens and dozens of people milling about just waiting for their reservation to become available. Keep trying every day. They get cancellations all the time. I would try several times a day.

Yes, you can still "walk in" without a priority seating however there will be a wait time. Don't be surprised if the wait time is approx 1-2 hours if no priority seating has been made. Keep calling 407-WDW-Dine as there may be cancellations that you can snap up. There are many character buffet breakfasts and dinners at Disney that you may enjoy just as much.

Yes, they do take walk ins, but only if a reservation does not show up after fifteen minutes of their scheduled time. You may want to try a strange time during the day when they do not have a character meal.

there is no confident answer on your question by way of fact new ones are further each and all of the time to rides/shops/exhibits (everywhere), with the help of the solid contributors interior the section while they become bored, and Disney Imaginers while they revamp the rides to make it extra exciting for persons who seem out for them. no longer in basic terms that yet some could have faith that something is a hidden Mickey jointly as yet another could no longer and in basic terms think of that figures coincidently are comparable to Mickey.

They give preference to Contemporary Resort guests. Are you one of those?
