Aside from the 1994 strike shortened season where there was no world series.

KnightsHuSayNee, the reason I wanted to exclude the 94 season is because while the expos looked good going into the strike. However since that season was cancelled about a month and a half before it was over, I believe that there was no proof positive to determine what the playoff situation would be. Who would ultimately make it, and who would win, even with Montreal's healthy 6 game lead over Atlanta on the date of the strike.

By the way, the Holy Grail is one of my favorite comedy movies.

The 2001 Seattle Mariners. 116-46 record in the regular season but lost in the playoffs to the Yankees I believe.

I was going to say the 1994 Expos or White Sox but since I can't I would say the 2001 Seattle Mariners or the 1998 Houston Astros

2001 Seattle Mariners, 1993 San Francisco Giants, or 1954 New York Yankees.

And the 1948, 1949, 1978, and 2003 Boston Red Sox, of course.

Last year's Devil Rays...the umpires robbed them of a few or maybe 50 wins, they were so awesome otherwise!
