I am only 43 but believe I may have some of them already. Are these the menopause or my previously diagnosed depression?

The current average age is around 51, however 43 is not rare. Age of onset of the menopause is often inherited. Did mum have an early one too?

Wow, I was just thinking the same thing. I am almost 41 and believe that I have some menopausal symptoms. I went to this website, www.earlymenopause.com and they list symptoms and tests you can have. It was very helpful. Depression is also a symptom with early menopause, so do not feel alone, I am like that too. Read up on it and I wish you luck.

The start of menopause can begin as early as 35 or as late as 55. I'm 52 and I have a 50 year old sister and we both have has symptoms since we were in our mid forties. For me they seem to come and go, I have more hot flashes in the summer and the winter than the spring or fall. I still have a period but I can have it once a month or twice a month. There are months when it's longer than other months but I think that I'm lucky in that I don't have any serious systoms.

Usually menopause starts in your 50's but some women experience it earlier.Im 43 but my doctor tells me I am unlikely to go through the menopause until much older.My mum was 49 when she started.A lot depends on when your periods started and when you started having children so there is no such thing as normal.

The monopause can start at any age my mam was 32 and i was 40.You can have a blood test that will determin if you are menopausal or not.The symptoms I had were Hot Flushes,Headaches,Restless Legs,Mood Swings and my periods were all funny.Please see your GP Good Luck & Health

Menopause age varies from woman to woman but mostly it is observed anytime after 42 --- 43

Well I started going threw it when I was 40. I am now 50 and it is over with and done. I still do get the hot flashes from time to time, but nothing like I did then. It was kind of rough once in awhile, but I made it fine and without any of the medicines out there too. I think the worst part of it was the hot flashes that I had.

i was 40 when i started the menopause if you go to the docs you can have a blood test to see if you are. good luck.

Impossible to predict - some women begin the menopause in their teens...
