Learning to give, unselfishly, will bring you great joy and happiness. Learn to give yourself away. Help others in any way possible: a smile? carry groceries? not giving advice? listening, really listening to one in need? and, remember, when it comes to giving unselfishly, you are included in that lot. Give yourself time to breathe, time to smile, time to relax into who you are. Take yourself on a date, doing what YOU want to do.

Happiness must be practiced. Go there now.

Nothing brings us happiness, we choose it, it is in us already, we just have to locate and choose to follow it. Locating it requires removing all fear and the only way to do that is through love, of self, of others. Once the fear is gone, happiness it right there, it takes a little work and is always an "inside Job" it will never come from anyone or anything else outside of yourself.

Happiness is not a state of being. It is not a level one somehow achieves. It is merely a term descriptive of a feeling. It is like rain and sunshine. Some days it rains, some days the sun shines instead. You will experience each, neither will be permanant.

it's not what will bring us happiness....
be yourself in all you do...
nurture within yourself the traits you admire,
be around people you enjoy being with,
express yourself as you are comfortable... in clothing, in style, in hair,
don't let the masses tell you what you should wear...
do things that make you feel good about yourself...
that will make you happy...
and if everyone did that for themselves
then more people will be happy

Genuine happiness is only found in Jesus Christ, for He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Happiness is not something that can be obtained by directly aiming for it.

That is why those who make self-fulfilment their goal in life are always frustrated.

Happiness is found by, in the right way, forgetting yourself and dedicating yourself to something higher and other than yourself.

everyone has a different definiton of hapiness, so technically none of the answers are wrong...
for me personally, hapiness is a mixture of a lot of things.. being fearless, guiltless, pleased, passionate and free! but like the person above said, first comes pain and then comes hapiness.. if we dont go thru pain then we will never kno the value of pleasure.

Money, friends, family, hobbies, music, sex, beautiful weather, great food, your own passion for something... anyone who says money doesn't matter is a liar who is jealous of people who can afford nice things in life.

Inner peace.

1. Learn to control your self-talk.
2. After learning to control your self-talk, limit your self-talk.

Suffering in life is created through self-talk or made worse by self-talk.
