I've decided I would like to make a career of it, but I know I'm starting way late. Any advice on how to speed things up?

I learned the guitar when I was 24, but just for fun. It takes a while to learn so you'll probably be much older when you are able to start a band. But if it's your dream, then don't let anything hold you back. Go for it, you only live once and should enjoy your life. Good luck.

their isn't an age limit. if it's something you want to do then put your heart and soul into it. practice every day and you'll see an improvement. once you can play well then start a band and follow your dream. live life any way you want

Try to start playing basic songs, then if you think if you think it is taking too ling start taking lessons. have someone that you know that plays gutiar show you basic and famus gutiar solos and songs. Listen to songs with lots of gutiar parts. Trust me.... I have a band (gutiar&leadvocals)

24 is not old. Start now and then you won't regret when you are 64.

24 isn't too old to start anything.
