I agree with eri. According to Drake's equation, there are over 10,000 advanced civilizations in our galaxy and its probably the same with all of the so it would be pointless for the aliens to look for life in another galaxy.

Zero. The only probes that are around are our own.

I think you're a bit confused about scales. There's the solar system, and then there's our galaxy with 200 billion stars, and then there are other galaxies far away with billions of other stars. If you're looking for life elsewhere, there's no point in leaving the galaxy - there's likely life in our own, maybe even around nearby stars. It would take far too long to go to other galaxies. Hell, it takes far too long to go to other stars.
